Pravassa invites you to
An Experience of a Lifetime
a yoga journey led by Julie Dohrman
Pravassa and Julie Dohrman invite you on a profound 10-day Balinese journey that will change your life. On this intimate odyssey you will bike through rice paddies, trek mountains, snorkel with sea creatures and celebrate the Balinese New Year with locals. This transformative experience will open your heart to the Balinese way of life as well as your yoga practice.
So, throw some yoga clothing and a bathing suit into a suitcase and get ready for your journey around the world. Our small group (no more than 15 people) will be housed in a private villa in Ubud for the first 5 days. Wake up to views of the rice paddies and spend the afternoon in the infinity pool to keep cool. If we're not on a bike tour or trekking Mt. Batur, use your free to time to explore the Ubud market or sample the delicious Balinese cuisine. Interested in more sightseeing? We'll take our private driver to Tirta Empul, and participate in the cleansing ritual.

On our sixth day in Bali, we head North to a town called Bondalem on the coast. This quite oasis will offer an opportunity to get to know the locals and participate in a sacred ceremony, Nyepi, Balinese New Year. Every culture has their own way to define the New Year and the Balinese open theirs in silence. Nyepi, the Balinese day of Silence, falls on the day following the dark moon of the spring equinox. The evening before Nyepi, all villages in Bali hold a large exorcism ceremony at the main village cross road. Ogoh-ogoh (large papier- mâché monsters which represent evil spirits) are made and burned in fantastic bonfires to rid the evil sprits from their lives. The following day of silence symbolizes the ultimate cleansing where everything starts anew.
In the days following Nyepi, you'll manifest your spiritual change and commune with the ocean. Snorkel off the wall of our resort, take a waterfall hike or enjoy a reflexology treatment with the sound of birds chipping outside the window. Either way, we know you won't want to leave this paradise and return to the real world.
