2nd Annual Vermont Getaway

Beauty and compassion were on display from the moment Pravassa's 2nd Annual Revitalize Retreat started. Vibrant colors from the changing leaves and flood damage from hurricane Irene stopped conversation on the bus ride from NYC to Good Commons in Vermont. Our weekend was gracefully led by yoga instructor Erica Mather and Chef Melissa Petitto, whose appetite for the creativity knows no bounds. From our opening ceremony to final yoga class where we learned how to fall, our group was committed to rejuvenating ourselves, shedding layers we no longer needed and providing support when ever anyone was in need. Friday's greenhouse tour to Coger's taught us the difference between hot house vegetables and under cover growing. Plus it gave us a taste of the best pepper watercress we've ever had! Saturday's bonfire kept us warm and provided plenty of belly laughs, which is always good healing medicine. As we bid adieu to Vermont, we take with us delicious recipes that will keep us warm into fall, muscle memory (even if we're sore), which has changed the way we practice yoga and new friends.
